If your store sets Shopify's payment capture to manual, Tacey can now keep each customer's payment on
hold while they can still edit their order. A change that lowers the total moves no money and needs no
refund, and when the edit window closes Tacey takes the final amount once. It is off until you turn it
on, in Global settings under Payment capture, and you can turn it off at any time. Home shows a
recommended step that says to turn it on in Tacey first and then set Shopify's payment capture to manual.

The page tells you what the switch can and cannot do. It warns you when your recent orders were all paid
at checkout, so there is nothing to hold, and it says how long your payments stay held. If a customer
changes their order to cost more, the held amount cannot grow: the customer pays the difference on
Shopify's payment link. When Tacey cannot safely take a payment, it does not guess. That
happens when an order holds two payments, and when a customer lowers an order paid through a provider
other than Shopify Payments that lets one payment be taken in parts. The order then shows under Needs
your action with the exact amount to capture in Shopify; for a lowered order that is its new total,
not the full held amount that Shopify fills in.
