Tacey checks addresses, lets customers fix their own orders, merges duplicate orders into one shipment, and records what happened to the money when they do.

## FAQ

### Does this slow down or block my checkout?

No. Nothing runs during checkout. Every check happens after payment, on the order Shopify has already confirmed, so there is no path by which Tacey can cost you a sale.

### What happens if the address service is down?

The order goes through untouched and is marked as not checked. We fail open: a bad minute at a validation provider must never hold up an order. It is never marked verified when we could not verify it.

### Where exactly can customers edit an order?

On the thank you page Shopify shows right after checkout, and on the order status page it emails them afterwards. Tacey appears on both. There is no new login, no portal, and nothing for you to install on your theme.

### Can a customer change something after it ships?

No. The window you set closes before fulfillment, and once your warehouse can pick the order it is locked. Nothing changes underneath a picker.

### Does money move on its own?

Never. A refund or an extra charge always needs an explicit confirmation, and no money control is switched on by default.

### What if I do not want customers editing orders?

Turn editing off and keep address validation and reminders. The four jobs are independent.

### Which countries can you validate?

Validation runs through Geocodio for the US and Canada, and Google's Address Validation API for Mexico and international addresses. Where an address cannot be checked it is marked not checked rather than guessed.

### Do the upsells cost my customer extra shipping?

Not when the item rides on the original order. That is the point of offering it inside the edit window rather than as a second purchase.

### How does the fulfillment hold work?

Tacey holds the order until the edit window closes, then releases it. Your warehouse sees a normal order, just slightly later.

### Which languages do you support?

Every screen your customer sees is available in 21 languages, and it follows the language Shopify already knows they are browsing in.

### How does billing work?

Through Shopify, on your existing app bill, monthly. Change or cancel the plan yourself at any time.
