# Request Your Data

Tacey holds personal data in two capacities, and which one applies decides where a request goes.

## If you are a shopper who bought from a store using Tacey

Your request goes to the merchant whose store took your order. They are the controller of your data; Tacey only processes it on their instructions. Shopify sends us three mandatory privacy requests on that merchant's behalf automatically, so nothing needs to be filed with us separately for one to work.

## If you are a merchant, or you used this website

Tacey is the controller for merchant account data and for anything collected on tacey.app, including consent records, newsletter subscriptions and tool submissions. Requests for that data are made at /privacy-request.

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, erasure, a portable export, or to opt out of sale or sharing.

The request must be confirmed from the email address it concerns before anything is disclosed or deleted, because an unverified request is a way to reach someone else's data. Every request is recorded with the date it arrived and the date it is due.
