This calculator turns sessions and orders into the three numbers Shopify operators should track weekly: conversion rate (percent of sessions that convert), revenue per visitor (RPV), and monthly revenue projection. RPV is often more honest than conversion rate alone because it accounts for AOV - a 1% conversion at $200 AOV beats a 3% conversion at $40 AOV.

Merchant tips

Reading conversion-rate numbers honestly

  • Shopify's average store conversion rate sits around 1.4-2.4%. If you're below 1%, focus on intent quality before tweaking checkout. If you're above 3%, your funnel is solid - scale traffic.

  • Mobile and desktop conversion rates are usually 2-3x apart. Always segment them. A 1.8% combined rate hides a 0.6% mobile rate.
