Validate one address

  1. 1Paste the country, ZIP / postal code, street address, city, and state. Use the format the customer entered, not the cleaned-up version.
  2. 2Click Validate. The check runs in 1-2 seconds.
  3. 3Read the verdict: deliverable, deliverable but worth a look before shipping, not deliverable, or couldn't verify. Below it, a short list of what we noticed.
  4. 4Compare what you entered with the suggested correction, field by field. Apply the fix to the order in Shopify if needed.

What you'll catch using this tool

A wrong ZIP or postal code, or a city that doesn't match it. The corrected value is shown next to what was entered.
A street with a missing direction, such as the W in 301 Front St W or the NW in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW. A street that is only written differently (Street vs St, upper vs lower case) is not flagged as a mistake.
Missing unit numbers in multi-unit buildings, where the check can tell. It flags some addresses and cannot tell for others, so a clean result is not a promise that no unit is needed.
An address that doesn't resolve at all. Meaningless text comes back "couldn't verify", never a confident pass.

Frequently asked questions

Is this address validator free?
Yes. Paste an address, read the result, no signup and no card. The check runs on our servers and we don't store the address you paste.
What counts as an undeliverable address?
Usually a missing unit or apartment number, a street that does not exist at that postal code, or a postal code that belongs to a different city. The tool names which one it is.
Does checking an address here change anything in my Shopify store?
No. This is a one-off lookup for a single address. It does not connect to your store, read your orders or write anything back.
Can I check every order automatically instead of one at a time?
That is what the Tacey app does. It checks the shipping address the moment an order is placed and tags anything it cannot confirm in your Shopify admin, and the customer can correct it themselves on the order status page.
Does a failed check mean I should not ship the order?
No. It means look at it. Tacey never holds, pauses or blocks a shipment because of an address flag. The decision stays with you.
