INTEGRATIONS · SIDEKICK

Shopify's assistant, answering with your order data.

Sidekick belongs to Shopify. It sits in the admin you already use. Tacey registers the tools it calls, so when you ask about an address, an edit window, or last month's numbers, the answer comes from your store instead of a guess.

14-day free trial on every plan. Nothing to configure in Sidekick.

The deepest integration is the one already in your admin.

You do not learn a new interface, and we do not ask you to. The assistant is Shopify's, the panel is Shopify's, and the questions you already ask it now have answers about your orders.

Tacey is never a chat product. We removed that. What we register is a set of tools Sidekick can call, and a card it can render inline when a change needs your approval.

WHAT YOU CAN ASK IT
“Can order 4470884 still be edited?”Reads the window, the status and the tags.
“Stop allowing cancellations after 2pm.”Stages a rule change, then waits for you.
“Block PO boxes at checkout.”Stages a validation setting with last month's numbers attached.
“How many addresses did we fix last month?”Reads the record, including anything the warehouse never confirmed.

Two ways in, and only one of them draws anything.

Shopify gives an app two ways to reach Sidekick. One is headless: Sidekick calls our tools and answers in its own words. The other renders an app block inline, inside their panel, for the moment a change needs approving. That block is ours, and we label it so you always know whose surface you are looking at.

Reading, headlessSidekick asks. We answer. It speaks. No Tacey pixels at all. The reply is Shopify's own, built from the data our tools returned. The step affordance names the tool, which is how you can tell we were involved.
Approving, inlineA Tacey block, drawn inside their panel. When something is about to change, we render the staged change as an app block with our mark on it. Their chrome stays theirs. Our card is labelled ours. Nothing about it pretends to be a Tacey chat window.

It never changes an order on its own. It shows you, and waits.

Every staged change spells out the before, the after, and whether money moves, then stops. Approve or cancel, and either way the decision is written to the record with your name on it. No setting turns that off.

The same rule the rest of Tacey follows. An assistant does not get an exemption.
