Hold the order while your customer can still change the address.

Hold fulfillment while the edit window is open is a setting in Global settings, under Order holds. It is off until you switch it on, and it needs customer editing switched on. With it on, an order whose address a customer changes waits on hold in Shopify until the edit window closes. An order nobody edited is not held. No integration for your fulfillment team to install. A hold blocks Shopify's own fulfillment requests. A warehouse that reads orders directly may not respect it.

Do I need to connect other tools for Tacey to work?
No. Address checks, edits, order merging, the free gift and recommended products are built into Tacey and need no connector. Sidekick, Claude and ChatGPT can ask Tacey about your orders today. Slack is planned and not available yet.
Can Claude or ChatGPT change my orders?
Not on live stores. Claude and ChatGPT read your orders and address checks, and any change you want is made in Tacey. Changes from the chat are being tested on a dev store.
Does it cost extra to connect Claude or ChatGPT?
Tacey does not charge extra for it. It is included in every Tacey plan and needs an active plan. Whether your own Claude or ChatGPT account can add a custom connector is decided by that assistant's plan.
Does my warehouse or 3PL need to install anything?
No. There is no integration for your fulfillment team to install and no new software in the warehouse. A warehouse that reads orders directly can pick an order the moment it is ready, and the optional fulfillment hold, which is off by default, does not stop it: it only blocks Shopify's own fulfillment requests.
What can a connected assistant see?
Only what you approve. Claude and ChatGPT read order facts such as order numbers, countries, dates and amounts, never a customer's name, email address, phone number or street address. Nothing is connected on your behalf: you approve each connection yourself.
Does Tacey work inside Shopify's own assistant?
Yes. Tacey's read tools for Shopify's Sidekick are live. They answer from Tacey's records, such as which orders have an address problem or what is waiting on you, with a link to the order. They only read: they cannot edit, refund, cancel, merge or hold an order, or change a rule. Anything you want to change, you change in Tacey.
Which integrations are available today?
Slack is planned and not available yet. Claude is live for reading only; changes from the chat are not available yet, because live stores are read-only and changes are being tested on a dev store. ChatGPT is live for reading only; changes from the chat are not available yet, because live stores are read-only and changes are being tested on a dev store. We do not publish an integration count.
