What this tool does

See exactly which Shopify apps any storefront has installed

This tool fingerprints any Shopify storefront against a database of 50+ known Shopify apps across 18 categories - reviews, email, loyalty, subscriptions, search, page builders, live chat, mobile apps, and more. We scan the home page and one product page, look for known signatures (script URLs, CSS classes, window globals), and return a categorized list with confidence ratings. Public data only, no login required.

How to use it

Detect any Shopify store's app stack

  1. 1Paste the storefront URL (yours or a competitor's). Custom domain or .myshopify.com both work.
  2. 2Click Detect apps. The tool fetches the home page and one product page and runs them through our fingerprint database in 3-5 seconds.
  3. 3Read the categorized results. Apps are grouped by category (Reviews, Email/SMS, Loyalty, etc.) and rated by confidence: high (multiple strong signals), medium (single strong signal), low (weak hints only).
  4. 4Click any app's link to visit its marketplace page if you want to evaluate it for your own store.

Merchant tips

How merchants actually use this

Competitive research: map your top 5 category competitors' app stacks. Patterns emerge fast - common apps often correlate with category-leading retention or conversion.
App vetting: before paying for a $40-200/mo app, see how many real, established Shopify stores actually run it. Empty market share = either niche or abandoned.
Migration planning: when a brand moves to Shopify, app-stack visibility on their old + new storefronts shows what they're keeping vs replacing.
Agency proposals: confirm a prospect's current stack before scoping integration work. Don't quote a Klaviyo migration if they already moved to Postscript.

Frequently asked questions

How can a tool see which apps a store runs?
Installed apps leave visible traces in a storefront's public code: scripts, tags and markup. The detector reads what the page already serves to every visitor.
Can I run this on a competitor's store?
Yes. It only reads public pages, the same thing your browser downloads when you visit the store.
Why does it miss some apps?
An app that runs entirely server-side, or only on a page the detector did not fetch, leaves no public trace. Treat the result as what is visible, not as a complete list.
Does the store owner get notified?
No. Fetching a public page is an ordinary visit, and nothing is reported to them.

This is a snapshot. Tacey runs it on every order.

The tool answers one question, once. The app answers it continuously, on the thank you page and order status page your customer already has open.

Continuous

Every order checked the moment it lands, not when you remember to run a calculator.

Automatic

A bad address is corrected by the customer before your warehouse picks it.

Provable

Every change written to a record with what it cost and who asked for it.
