Does Tacey change anything at checkout?+

No. Tacey does not touch your checkout flow at all. It operates at the order layer, after the customer has already placed their order. Your checkout experience is completely unchanged. No scripts, no popups, no UI injections, no friction added.

What exactly does Tacey check on each order?+

Every order is validated for address deliverability (does this address exist and can a carrier deliver to it), completeness (missing apartment numbers, missing unit identifiers), format accuracy (city and postcode mismatch, invalid street combinations), and delivery risk. On Agent and Commander plans, Tacey also applies your sensitivity settings and any custom rules you have configured.

What happens when Tacey flags an order?+

Tacey holds the order in Shopify immediately. Your warehouse never sees it. A correction email is sent to your customer with a secure link to fix their address using smart autocomplete. On Agent plan, you receive an SMS alert at the same moment. On Commander, Tacey can call your customer directly by phone and handle the conversation. Once the customer submits a corrected address, the hold releases automatically and fulfillment continues. You do not have to do anything.

What countries does Tacey support?+

Full address intelligence with carrier-level validation is available for the US and Canada. International orders across 195 countries - including Mexico, UK, EU, Australia, Japan, and beyond - are validated with country-specific postal format rules, province and state mapping in local languages, and full AI reasoning applied. Non-Latin addresses including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic are supported. What if Tacey makes a wrong call?+

Every decision is logged with its full reasoning. If Tacey holds an order you believe should have passed, you can review it and release it manually in one click. You can also adjust sensitivity (Conservative, Balanced, or Aggressive) to match how strict you need Tacey to be. You are always in control. Tacey does not make decisions that cannot be overridden.

Is my customer data stored?+

Order data is processed to run address validation and is retained in your decision log for audit purposes. We do not sell data to third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Do I need Shopify Flow to use Tacey?+

No. Tacey works out of the box on all Shopify plans with no Shopify Flow required. If you are on the Agent plan and want to connect Tacey to your existing automations, 9 built-in Shopify Flow triggers are available, but they are entirely optional.

What is the difference between the plans?+
