Tacey emails you before a charge starts and when your plan changes

Tacey now writes to you at the moments that matter for your subscription. You get an email when you have used 80 percent and again at 95 percent of your monthly orders, 3 days and 1 day before your free trial ends, when your plan changes, when Tacey is paused because your subscription ended, and 7 days before a yearly plan renews. The trial email names your plan, the price and the date Shopify will charge you, and says what Tacey handled for you so far. Every amount and date is read from your Shopify subscription at the moment the email is sent. The order limit, plan change and renewal emails can be switched off on the Notifications page. Trial and paused emails cannot, because they tell you about a charge or a stop. Development stores and stores under app review get none of them.
